Sleep Apnea Symptoms

Sometimes it can be difficult to realize that you are suffering from sleep apnea since it occurs when you are asleep. Unless you have a sleeping partner or family member hear your loud snoring, or undergo an extensive sleep study, your sleep apnea may go undiagnosed for a long period of time. If you feel that you may be suffering from sleep apnea but are not quite sure, the following signs are the most common sleep apnea symptoms that most people suffer from:

  • Loud and chronic snoring with pauses in the snoring, followed by possible choking and/or gasping
  • The loudest snoring occurs when you're on your back
  • Constant exhaustion during the day
  • Physical and mental fatigue with an inability to stay alert during daytime
